Last year our friends over at inMotion Kitesurfing Magazine launched the inaugural competition to find the Most Influential Girl Kitesurfer for 2011.

This was won by Kari Schibevaag from Norway, but the competition shortlist included some names that you should already be familiar with such as Clementine Bonzom from Stance Magazine who we interviewed recently and “Lulu” Alexandre Dupey who is one of our Kite Sistas amongst others.

This year they are running the competition again and we think you should check it out.

Why the Most Influential Girl in Kitesurfing?

The primary goal is to promote girls in kitesurfing. They want to showcase talented and inspiring female kiters to motivate more women to get involved in our sport.

At the same time, they also want to shine the spotlight on these amazing girls, and give them some well deserved exposure.

Anyone over the age of 16 who is doing something positive for kitesurfing or their community is eligible and there are some fantastic prizes to be won.

Nomination

Entries for the nomination round close on 1 November 2012 so get over to the inMotion site now to submit your entry.

Not that we are dropping any hints, but your beloved editor-in-chief has realised that she has been nominated a few times, so feel free to continue this trend ;)
