Some of you may have wondered why the constant stream of articles you got so used in the first few months has slowed down a bit. No we have not lost interest in our sistas, the contrary in fact, but we have been doing what any lifestyle magazine for girls who love the water should be doing, …and that is spending time in the water.
We have also been working a lot behind the scenes building the network of Kite Sista through teaching at Paje By Kite in Zanzibar, helping to bring Sensi Bikinis to this far corner of Africa and then into the hands of the European market.
We have also spent a lot of time building up our Holidays Forum, ..and then releasing it for testing, and then not long afterwards, completely disassemble it and recreate it as a section of the site rather than a forum. We had reservations about the forum system being something our sistas would use, yet initial research proved that there was interest and we should give it a go, but testing proved a number of things. Firstly the popularity with camps, events and destinations and the willingness of the organisers of these to work with us. Secondly, no matter what you do, running a forum will always be an ongoing battle against spam, which is so time consuming and not a battle we want to fight at the sacrifice of time spent creating good content for the magazine.
So, the Holidays section is back in beta testing in its new format which you can check out here and we will be launching this with a BANG (and a competition not to be missed) very soon.
This week we also have an interview with Florian Daubos and are putting the final touches to a project we are helping out a true Kite Sista, Jen Ridley who you may remember from our video ‘A LITTLE LESSON OF COURAGE AND CLASS‘ which we will be telling you a lot more about very soon.
