It’s strange but as excited as we get each year about the 2017 kites and boards, there is nothing that gives us butterflies in our stomach quite as much as seeing the new seasons Ronix boots for the first time.
Maybe it is because we are girls and we put a lot of thought into what goes onto our feet, or maybe it is that moment of knowing what your final setup will look like (they always come out after the 2017 kite board), either way, there is no need to wait any longer as they are now here.
What is all the fuss with Ronix boots anyway?
There are many different companies who make wake boots and kite specific boots, but if you look on the beach at any pro’s setup who is not bound by sponsor obligations or financial restrictions you will 99% of the time see a pair of Ronix boots on their board.
Why? Well they may be reputed to not last as long as some other brands (although in their defence since 2015 ours have always lasted the year – just), and their laces often stay tight when replaced with another brands laces (Liquid Force in case your wondering – and they come in lots of lovely colours), but there is no other boot on the market with the same level of comfortable and at such a light weight.
You can see we are both critics and fans and everyone in our office rides Ronix, and pays full price for them (unless someone from Ronix is listening and wants to help us out there).
Now we have cleared that all up, let’s get onto the boots themselves. We will not be giving you the tech specs, those you can find everywhere online, we will just try and explain what makes each boot different and why those that ride them choose them.
