These days just being a good rider is not enough, you have a responsibility through the exposure it allows you to also be a role model. We often look to the older riders to fill this role, but as the media coverage of the junior riders grows there is a new generation of young riders looking to the best of their peers to inspire them. We are lucky to have an inspirational group of young female talent emerging.

Mikaili Sol managed to retain second world junior title again this year, although this year she only had to compete in the Under 15’s rather than the Under 17’s which she won the previous year. The stand out young talent it is easy to forget she is still only 12 years old.

Nina Font just so happens to be the little sister of one of the emerging talents on the male scene, but this has certainly motivated her to push the style and level of her riding and beyond this she is one of the nicest, hard working, calm, polite young riders you will meet.

Claudia Leon Martinez won the Junior World Championship U17 this year as well as the Junior Spanish Championship so 100% a young rider to look out for in the future. Riding very strongly and setting a positive role model for her peers.

Osaia Reding keeps getting better and better, with a string of videos out this year and some strong riding in Brazil with her father the young F-ONE rider is on our watch list.

Anna Hashem is on our list not for competition results, but for her strength of character after coming back from a nasty injury that saw her on crutches last yea in Egypt. We have risen cable with this young rider and can confirm that she is not afraid to go for it and lead by example.

Now it is just up to you to decide which is your favourite for 2016.

Voting is now closed, the winners will be announced shortly.
