It was about a month ago that KiteSista became interested in a new kiteboard brand completely dedicated to girls. A colourful design, straps and pads which are adapted to small feet, light boards…
everything a girl can ask for or need from a board
However, before we talk about the board it feels only right to discover who is behind this new brand and what motivated him to go down this road.
Olivier Brun comes from Grenoble, France. A mountaineer who started to kite after an accident. Limited in his ability to progress he was able to spend, after a recovery period, two months the following summer in Leucate/La Franqui progressing rapidly and soon became completely addicted. As a man passionate about his new sport and also in love, Olivier did not wait a long time to convert his brazilian sweetheart Anna-Virginia to the joys of kiting.
This is where it all starts for Freug’s Kiteboarding
Anna was looking for ‘the board of her dreams’! As a true girl she wanted a really feminine looking board and could not find one to suit her tastes on the market, …so, …Olivier created it. Encouraged by the advice of Anna and her friends regarding style, colours and the logo (a pink frogs footprint: Freugs is a french sounding version of the english word ‘frogs’), he spent all his evenings throughout the winter season working on it. The end result was the creation of the first brand of kite boards created for and devoted only to girls.

We will be taking it with us for 3 months to the spot of Paje in Zanzibar for reviewing testing for any girls who are interested.
