Having such a nomadic lifestyle and no place to call home, I find it has made more sense to me to travel from kite spot to kite spot than anything else. Luckily through countless jobs and the support of my friends and family, this is exactly what I have done. No matter what it is that you may want, goals and desires are possible through hard work and determination!
I named my video Nitty-Gritty because during this trip to Brazil I really had to get down to the basics and remake my pop and technique for the tricks I thought I already knew.
Despite a few hiccups along the way, my kiteboarding improved an immense amount during the few weeks I was there.
About half way though this adventure, a few of the girls and I were cleaning the lagoon of plastic when a very large amount of my kite gear was stolen right out from under my nose. With the help of Colleen Carroll, North Kiteboarding, and all of the amazing friends around me I was able to get back out on the water very soon after. This event combined with micro tears in my abdominals gave me a week of rest which was just enough to get me completely frothing again!
I want to send huge thank you to my flat mate Alex Thon for all the amazing times and support but also to the whole Taiba crew who fueled the stoke the whole time! Overall it was such a great experience and I am already excited for next year! I hope you enjoy my edit and it makes you want to go for a kite session after!!
