QUIZ: What Kind of Kitesurfing Girl Are You?

When you arrive at a new spot what is the first thing you check out?*
- The spot, the potential dangers, the launching area and the riding zone.
- The other kiters
- The kite centre and the people around it, at the ready to meet someone new
- The view, breathe in the fresh sea air and appreciate the soft white sand under your feet

How do you get your equipment ready?*
- You look left and right with a smile hoping that a nice young man will come and give you a little hand and pump your kite
- Even pumping you kite in 35 degrees is a pleasure. The simple fact of being outside and feeling the wind in your hair is enough and so you appreciate the moment.
- You are in no mood to waste time. you unwind your lines as quick as lightning as you have already pumped your kite with a pump you ‘borrowed’ from the nearest kiter and you are ready to jump in the water. No question you are going to waste any time.
- After having asked all the appropriate advice from the local school you look for the safest area to prepare your kite. You take your time to be sure to not make any mistakes and then when your ready of course you find someone to help you launch your kite.

You ride in…*
- A mini bikini, …no question of having lycra tan lines on your arms.
- Board shorts, basketball t-shirt or vest, ready to launch into freestyle and jump in all directions.
- Suncream, helmet, sunglasses, board shorts, lycra, …nothing exposed but you are sure to be able to ride for as long as possible with complete protection.
- Hair loose, board short made from ethical material, organic sun cream, …no question of endangering the local eco-system.

When there is no wind…*
- You organise an afternoon of Mojitos around the pool and take advantage of the moment by working on your tan.
- You take advantage of the moment by having a long walk on the beach with your music and take a little time for you to relax.
- You organise a beach volleyball tournament, help some children construct a giant sand castle and then finish off with some stretching to make sure you are prepared for tomorrows session.
- You get out your Tricktionary from your beach bag and revise some theory, then go and tidy your kite storage and wash all your equipment with clean water.

Your kite…*
- Naish Alana or Susi’s Siren. A quality kite of course, but definitely one for the girls.
- Torch, Vegas, Fuel or anything as long as it is a C-shape.
- A Bandit, …because you like the kite that does everything and that you can rely on to give you confidence.
- The brand and style is not that important, …but it is in good condition and you got a good deal.

After a long day of riding you like to…*
- enjoy nothing more than a nice cold beer with your friends.
- stretch, shower, light meal and then bed to make sure you are in perfect condition for tomorrow.
- a good hair repair and some luscious moisturiser then straight into a little dress and make up and out on the town to show off that gorgeous tan you have got from being on the beach all day.
- a little fire on the beach with a bunch of friends, a guitar and the sound of the waves as you fall asleep under the stars.

Your favourite kite surfing guy is…*
- Craig Cunningham, …he is just too hot.
- Robbie Naish, …a real man and legend.
- Jesse Richman, …he is just amaaaaazing.
- Mitu Monteiro, …there is no other kiter in such beautiful harmony with his board.

A typical kitesurfing day for you consists of…*
- A plate of fresh fruit followed by a little session in the morning, lunch and a nap then a down-wind to finish the day with your friends and enjoy the sunset.
- An early morning session with the rising sun and then a good breakfast followed by some laps of the swimming pool, a healthy lunch and then attack the afternoon with another session. With a little bit of energy left you might even get in a third session before collapsing ini a tired heap and falling asleep in less than 30 seconds.
- A good breakfast with sunscreen applied beforehand (so it is working and well absorbed when you arrive at the kite spot), you know exactly what speed the wind will be blowing, and that at a precisely 11:37 it drops. Not a minute to lose, you don’t want to miss a minute of your session.
- A small light nutritional breakfast, bikini in place and ready to ride for a little hour. Then time to relax and tan on the beach, eat fresh fruit and back in the water for another little session, …not too late though, you don’t want to miss the massage you have booked for 18:00.

The female kitesurfer you admire the most…*
- Hannah Whiteley, …because nothing scares her and nothing stops her.
- Annabel van Westerop, …because it is possible to be both super cute and super talented.
- Kari Schibevaag, …because whatever she does it is done with passion and a smile.
- Gisela Pulido, …because nothing is left to chance, you don’t get to that level without a certain degree of discipline.

You kitesurfing objectives are…*
- It doesn’t matter as long as I leave the water with a big smile on my face.
- Not to kill anyone.
- Not to lose my bikini when I crash.
- Double half cab mobe …there is no reason that is Liam Whaley can do it, I can’t.
